Mr. William DeWalt, Sound Engineer: Music isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. As a multi-instrumental instructor and sound engineer, I’ve made it my mission to open young minds to the power of music. Through the Quest Youth Organization, I introduce students to a variety of instruments—some familiar, others completely new to them—helping them discover their own rhythm and voice. My musical journey began at the City College of New York and continued through the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, where I immersed myself in piano, music theory, chord harmony, and the finer details of musical expression.

Beyond the classroom, I bring my technical expertise to the stage—providing sound equipment and engineering support for the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium, again through my work with Quest Youth. Whether I’m guiding a student’s first notes or fine-tuning a live performance, my goal remains the same: to amplify passion, creativity, and connection through music.
